This is the vintage dressmaking dummy I found at a yard sale for $25. She's got a zillion different adjustment. I don't have her totally adjusted yet to my size. (ahem, no I don't have a teeny little waistline like she does.)

Beside being a help at fitting time, she's also great to use as a garment display. Here she's wearing a thriftstore dress I'm ready to cut apart to use the fabric for something else.

This is the "something else" I have in mind. The dummy is great for "draping" ideas. If I can fit it out of the pieces, I'd like to create a sort of vintage sundress with a very gathered halter and an a-line skirt.
