Ah, but I May as Well Try and Catch the Wind
This is a little windchime I created with driftwood, beads, wire and other bits and pieces. It says "breathe" on one side, and "peace" on the other, so no matter which way it swings in the breeze, there's a message.I created this piece in preparation for a creativity workshop I volunteered to lead at a retreat for AIDS patients. From driftwood, old windchime pieces, beads and wire, the workshop participants each created a windchime. I made this piece ahead of time, to use as an example. I cherish this little piece of art and every time I see it clinking in the breeze, I'm reminded of special people ... and when I'm thinking that my puny problems are worth getting all frazzled about, this little talisman reminds me to keep things in perspective, to BREATHE and to find a place of PEACE within and without..

I love this little windchime because of its simplicity and the fact that it holds such meanin for you.
ReplyDeleteI like the windchime too. It looks like fun to make. I just browsed through a few of your pages and I just love your style and the things you've sewn. I look forward to following along with your new projects!
